ORADA Responsible AI Conference Continues to Lead with Diversity and Inclusion
I am writing to remind you of the ORADA Responsible AI Conference taking place from 3 - 4 April 2025 AND affirm our intention to continue to lead with diversity and inclusion.

Lead. Learn. Share. Soar!
We're bringing leaders, experts and participants from Africa, Europe and North America together to explore + exchange strategic and practical considerations, approaches, leading practices, methods and tools for value generating, responsible, trustworthy and inclusive data & AI solutions. However, before we talk conference and get back to our shared passions of leadership, career and technology - including data and AI - I want to address the elephant in the global sphere.
Dear Leader,
I am writing to remind you of the ORADA Responsible AI Conference taking place from 3 - 4 April 2025 AND affirm our intention to continue to lead with diversity and inclusion.
A few years back it may have been considered a given that diversity and inclusion aren’t only critical to creating a more just and equitable world, but also that the science around the value that the inclusion of people from diverse demographic, geographic, social and economic backgrounds contributes, would mandate the inclusion of these lived experiences and differing perspectives in every sphere of life.
Quite recently, it was generally accepted that the full diversity of the people of the world is needed to shape the beautiful mosaic that is the future we strive to live in together and that the science behind diversity and inclusion would, at a minimum, be considered in any decisions made about work places, schools, sport and social activities and other social and public spaces. Yet, here I am writing to you to affirm that we will continue to lead with diversity not only because this is ethically right and just, but because we stand with and consider science a critical input to our decision making.
However, because we live in a time of disparate information and news silos that are buckling under the weight of systematic AI-powered hostile disinformation campaigns, a topic that we’ll tackle at ORADA, kindly allow me to say:
Our views on strength in diversity haven’t changed and neither has our position on being evidence based and science led. Inclusion is not only morally right and humane, it also leads to better outcomes as many studies have repeatedly confirmed. The need for people of good conscience - from all demographics and walks of life - to connect, share insights and good practices for the responsible and inclusive use of digital, data and AI solutions has intensified. It is critical that people who share these values are aware that there are others out there who believe that human rights belong in every sphere, including the digital sphere.
Our speaker and facilitator roster is exemplary in this respect. We have incredible speakers and facilitators from Africa, Europe and North America. They come from diverse demographic and social backgrounds and the majority of speakers are women (note this as as evidence that inclusion does not mean exclusion as some proponents of double speak would have us believe). Our programme represents this diversity of lived experiences, backgrounds, professional qualifications and practical experiences to deliver a conference offering insights, interactive learning opportunities as well as practical take-aways.
We’re also proud to share our conviction that we’re on the right side of history on this one. Join us at ORADA to engage with some of the most beautiful minds in the Data & AI field.
I wish you a lovely start to day and want to remind you to keep believing!
Keep believing! It’s the only thing that leads to the action needed to shape the world that you want to live in
