Leadership, Tech and Career Conversation with Carrie Yury, Managing Director responsible for UX Research, Digital Products and Channels at JPMorgan Chase

Lead. Learn. Share. Soar.
As we continue to decode tech and take inspiration from leaders leveraging tech to realise meaningful impact, I am excited to invite you to a leadership conversation, titled “Leading User Experience - Invention and Innovation in User Experience & Design” with Carrie Yury on 14 March 2024. Carrie is the Managing Director responsible for UX Research, Digital Products and Channels at JPMorgan Chase. A seamless and engaging user experience is at the core of the success seen by some of the technology companies that have come to dominate the consumer technology market in the last two to three decades. The success of any digital product or service is measured, by many users, against the user experience provided to them by global giants such as Apple, Google, Netflix, Amazon and AirBnB.
Any business that’s focused on digital products and services, provides digital channels for accessing its products and services, has their workforce use technology and digital platforms to deliver their services or engages in e-commerce (this should be every business!) needs to provide their employees and customers with a great user experience. User Experience is something that we’ve come to expect and assume, but what does it take to get user experience right and why should we be thinking of it as more than just slick interfaces?
In an ever changing world, where technology’s massive strides make it urgent to decode IT, we’re excited to have (re)launched the Inno Yolo Leadership, Technology and Career Conversation Series and to bring you this next installment.
I am excited to host you and Carrie as we talk through the importance of going beyond the obvious to invent as well as innovate in the User Experience space.

Carrie Yury, Conversation Guest on 14 March 2024

A quote on the elegance of simplicity
Since great user experience makes the underlying complexity of digital and new technology solutions appear simple, here’s a great quote from Sir Isaac Newton
All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man’s life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom…
…
Three rules of work
1. Out of clutter, find simplicity.
2. From discord, find harmony.
3. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity…
Achieving simplicity is not always as easy as it might appear. Join us as we gather around a metaphorical fireside where we celebrate excellence, gain inspiration and broaden our sense of what is possible. Optimism is an incredibly powerful tool that we have at our disposal. Convince yourself that, “The best is yet to come”, regardless of how well things are going for you and watch your chin lift up, your energy levels rise and your eyes open to the opportunities and connection available to you in our shared world. Then dare!
